Random Thoughts
I really love Library day! My kids sit for a really long time after getting new books, just looking at the pictures and guessing what the story is going to be about. Brinci actually reads the books, Toby looks at the pictures and he usually has the story figured out by the time I read it to him. Gage even gets in on the fun. He is starting to really enjoy looking through books instead of just stealing them!
There are two reasons I love this day so much. First, I love the fact that my kids love the printed word. Coming from a family where both parents love to read, it was important that we teach that to our children. Hopefully they will carry this love with them throughout their lives. Second, and most important, I get about 30 minutes of no fighting, no whining, no complaining, no crying!!! It is the greatest!
