Summer Activities
Since I’ve been such a slacker on this the past month, I’ve decided to just describe all the fun things we did this summer. On July 17th we took the kids to Lagoon. We left Gage home but the others went. Brinci had a fun time on all the roller coasters. That girl has no fear on things like that. We made a big mistake with Toby and had him ride the Tidal Wave very first so he had a hard time wanting to ride any other rides, but we found some fun rides to go on in the Kiddie part and he did a great job going by himself on those rides. Jer had fun going with Brinci on all the fun rides we went on as a kid. It was pretty fun to watch. We even drug Dave along with us so Jer and I could ride some rides together. it was a lot of fun.
We then spent the week in Blackfoot, which I’ve blogged about already. The kids did swim lessons this year. They had a great time and had a lot of fun in the water. I think they would rather play than learn how to do strokes, but I really want them to learn how to swim. They have enjoyed watching the swimming in the Olympics and Toby now know Michael Phelps as “that really fast swimmer”.
This is what Gage was doing the whole time the kids were in the water. He wanted to swim too!!

We helped Emily move into her new apartment in Morgan. That was a lot of fun but the kids were really disappointed in their Grandpa Kunz. He had all the things moved before we got there! We did go up when she moved for real a few days ago and they were able to carry some things into her apartment to help her move. Mostly they just wanted to take her pillows in. They are really funny.
On Grandpa Fraser’s birthday we went to Salt Lake and saw him for a few minutes. It was good to see him and the kids did really well talking to him and telling him about swim lessons and all the fun stuff they had been doing.
Jer was able to take each of the kids on a hike. I have to admit that I’m a bit jealous of that, but they love going with their daddy. It makes him happy to know that they enjoy something that he enjoys so much. Hopefully they will still enjoy it in years to come. I’ll let Jer blog about the hike with Brinci. It was a lot of fun for both of them.
We had a family reunion in Bear Lake this weekend. It was a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed finally getting to play with the sand toys that we have! They have never played with them before so that was fun for them. Gage liked to walk in the water. Luckily the water was really shallow for quite a while so I didn’t have to keep him too locked on to the beach. Brinci went home with Grandpa and Grandma Kunz after the beach and she’s been having a fun time there. We were able to Have Chris, Channy, and Emily come Saturday and Sunday. It was a lot of fun.
School starts tommorow so I guess our summer fun is over. We were able to do all the stuff we wanted this summer. We were hoping we could go camping as a family more than we did, but that will have to wait for another year I guess. Between all the visits to the park, bike rides, having friends over, and all our other fun times, it was a great summer! I’m sad that school is here, but happy that we made some good memories this year!
Here’s a random photo for you to enjoy. I finally got a spaghetti sauce picture of Gage!!
