Bald Mountain
Toby and I have been planning a little hike. We weren’t planning on going very far during this hike, just something to give him a taste of it. So in planning where we were going to go, I mentioned we could climb part way up Bald mountain if he would like. Without hesitation, he selected that option.
Bald Mountain is a peak in the Uintas that is 11,943 feet in elevation, the trail is 2 miles up and 2 miles back at a pretty stiff altitude. Brinci and I climbed it last year and I was interested to see how well he would do.
I was very impressed. He marched his way right on up that mountain. I think he could have climbed the entire thing had I known just how well he would do and planned the appropriate time.

This is the spot Brinci and I sat out a tremendous rain storm last year. I had told Toby about it prior to coming up and he was excited to see the place. Notice the size of the trees, we were almost to the tree line at this point. Toby actually made it past the tree line.
