Silly Tobias
A really funny thing was said last night at dinner. For the full effect, however, I have to backtrack a few months. The kindergarten classes here always put on a Piggy Opera, they have speaking parts and sing songs about the 3 little pigs and the big bad wolf. One of the songs that Brinci loved to sing was about the mama pig making her little ones garbage stew. So I always teased the kids that I was going to make them garbage stew for dinner. Well last night that came back to bite me! I made a tomato spinach tortellini thing for dinner. We sat down and I brought the pan full of it over and Toby looks into the pan, looks at me with a funny look on his face and says very seriously “Is this garbage stew?” I couldn’t help but laugh. In his eyes I had finally made good on my promise of making garbage stew. He wouldn’t eat any of it, but I sure loved it!! I guess I am the mama pig after all.
