Jordanelle
So on July 3rd we were able to go boating with Mike Brown and his family. Mike works with Jer and we’ve been trying to hook up to go out on the lake for 3 years now and we finally did it! The kids were a little nervous at first (go figure!) so Mike’s son got out on the tube to show them how to do it. They thought that looked like fun and Toby agreed to be the first guinea pig. He got out on the tube with Jer and soon after we realized that was a bad idea. 
They wrecked pretty good! So Toby decided to go by himself. He thought he needed to do it like the BIG kids. Scared his mommy!
He had a great time and it looked so fun, Jer decided he needed to do it by himself.
He soon realized he was too big to ride it like that and got on his stomach. Mike gave him a wild ride. I was very impressed with how long he held on. I thought the boat was going to tip over on some of the corners he took!
Brinci decided to go next. She was a little hesitant at first, but it didn’t take her very long to have a good time. She didn’t ever really smile, but you could tell she was really loving it. Halfway through her ride there was a stick that shot up from under the boat and landed just a few feet in front of her. It was really scary for us, but luckily she didn’t even see it. 
Since all the other kids did it, they weren’t going to let me out of it. I was excited at first because Mike’s wife was driving the boat. As I got on the tube however, there was a changing of the guards and I knew I was in big trouble. He was really nice to me at first, but then I guess Jer talked him into being crazy! I’m just glad my wreck wasn’t too embarrassing.
Gage wasn’t quite sure what to think of all the craziness. He was yelling along with us and clapping. He didn’t even mind the life jacket after a while. He probably had the most fun cuz he could stay dry in the boat and just eat his snacks! 
Jer wanted to try the kneeboard so Mike’s oldest gave him a quick how to and showed him how to do it. Then Jer got on and did a pretty good job. Mike was impressed with how fast he got up. I think the tube ride must have made him pretty sore though cuz he didn’t stay long on the board! Notice Jer’s face in the picture, you can tell he’s concentrating really hard.
After Jer got done Brinci decided she wanted to get back on the tube again. I was really surprised. She was having a great time on that thing. She didn’t sit down once the second time she was out. She even wanted to go faster!
Then Mike just took us around the lake really fast. It was a lot of fun and the kids really got a kick out of laughing at Mommy out on the tube! Toby kept talking about how much he loved it! We are so thankful that we have such wonderful friends to give our kids these opportunities! Thanks Brown’s for the wonderful memories! Here are a few more pics of the fun.
