Another Goal Accomplished

Jer and I had decided that by the end of this year I would be able to have at least 1000 miles logged.  Today I reached that goal!!  I wish that I could see Jer’s face when I told him, but I’m sure he’s smiling big.  There is no way I could have done it without his encouragement and help.  He had to take over morning duties many Saturdays for me to get my miles.  Thanks Jer for helping me so much!  Thank you, all who read this, for continuing to encourage me. I doubt I will get this many miles again, but it feels really good to have it done!!

Since I got nice hardwood floors, I needed a new rug!  Thanks to Emily and Dad and Mom Kunz, I now have a wonderful rug in the middle of my beautiful wood!  I just can’t believe this is my house!  It looks so uptown. I’m not sure what to do with myself in there!!  Thanks to all who have made this happen. I owe you big time!

My sister was down this weekend with her family and we decided to paint Brinci’s room. Luckily she is a much better painter than I am and brought all her tools down. We did the walls purple and put orange stars on them. These are Brinci’s favorite colors and she was so excited to have both in her new room!  We’re not quite all the way done yet but hopefully by the end of the week we should be.  While Kimberli was busy painting, Jonathan mowed my lawn and did the weedeating one last time. He then winterized my machines (I didn’t even know something like that was possible!) I am getting so spoiled lately.  Thank you everyone who has helped out!! You are angels.

We had a great Halloween. Brinci had a friend come play most of the day and she went trick or treating with us. Her name is Sarah and she’s the witch!  Em came with us too but I didn’t get a picture of her. She was just her normal scary self!  It was a pretty good Halloween all around but we sure missed trick or treating Daddy.  He would always give us lots of candy when we would come home.  I think Dave took over that role this year.  Thanks Dave!

Pumpkin Carving!  We had a lot of fun carving pumpkins. Since our kitchen was still being used as a tool shop we had to do it downstairs. It was a lot of fun and we even got Emily to dig out the guts!!  It’s amazing what I can get people to do for me right now :)

Since people won’t leave me alone about seeing pictures of my floor, I am sacraficing the beautiful weather outside to sit here and post pictures!!  Hope  you enjoy them.  I am LOVING this floor.  The people that have come to help have been amazing. I don’t know how I’m ever going to let them know what they mean to me. They are AWESOME!!!

Middle of the Project

We are currently in the middle of our remodel project. It took forever to get the wood here and then it needed to acclimize to our humidity so it’s been sitting in our house for 3 weeks. Then with the funeral and everything it got pushed back. So we are finally getting it done.  AllWest has been helping with it and Mark is going to come supervise. Those guys are way faster at tearing out floor than I am!!  After it was done, we had a picnic dinner.  Before bed I let the kids draw on the floor. They thought that was pretty cool and wanted to stay up way late to draw some more!

Remodel

So we have been doing some pretty fun stuff around our house the last few weeks.  We have been looking into getting hardwood floors for a while but have been waiting to save up the money.  Well, with the economy how it is these days it will be cheaper for us to do the hardwood right now than it would be to put in Pergo!  So we ordered the wood and it should be here in a few weeks. We had to redo our entry way with tile so Jer’s mom was kind enough to come down last weekend and do our tile. Emily came on Saturday and laid it while mom was cutting. They have quite a good system down and make an excellent team!  It is now waiting to be sealed and we can hardly wait til we can go through our front door again!  Now we just have to keep tearing off baseboards and then it will be ripping up carpet!  What a crazy idea!!  We have a neighbor who is cutting us a deal with the labor so it’s going to be a little less money than we had originally calculated.  I’m so excited for it to be in!!

Such A Slacker!

I apologize that it’s been so long since I posted. I’m trying to figure out some different things with my pictures and so I haven’t done anything!  Anyway, I was reading through the blog that Jer’s family has and there were a lot of posts about the Wasatch Back Relay Race and what was happening with that. We were all scared and not sure what to expect. Flash Forward to this year when we’ve hardly even thought about it until this week!  And the race is in one week!!  I thought it was pretty humorous. I can’t imagine how chill we are going to be about things when we become 10 yr. vetrans of the race!
